Medvedev: Accidents can happen in EU plants too

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev accused Ukraine and its Western allies of being "ready to arrange a new Chernobyl" in reference to the attacks on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. He added that "we should not forget that the European Union also has nuclear power plants. And accidents can happen there, too."

Medvedev also rejected Ukraine's claims that Russia is behind the incidents at Zaporizhzhia, which is currently under Russian control, stating that such allegations are "nonsense even for the obtuse Russophobic public."
