Mexico's coronavirus death toll rises by 688

In the past 24 hours, there were 8,458 new COVID-19 cases in Mexico, the country's Ministry of Health revealed on Friday.

The number of deaths attributed to coronavirus rose by 688 in the same period, bringing the virus death toll in the country to 46,688, and making Mexico a country with the third-highest number of COVID-19 fatalities in the world.

Since the coronavirus' outbreak, 424,637 people tested positive nationwide, while 278,618 managed to successfully recover.
