Mexico's COVID infection toll rises by record 28,115, deaths by 2,789

Mexico's Ministry of Health revealed the number of people that have lost their lives due to the COVID-19 increased by 2,789 from yesterday's total, marking a record daily rise for the country, however, the jump includes deaths that that date back to June.

The number of people who died as a result of the disease reached 81,877 with the new fatalities included, while confirmed cases rose to 789,780, up by a whopping 28,115 to mark another record for the North American nation.

On the other hand, the country saw at least 3,884 recoveries from the disease in the past twenty-four hours, taking the cumulative number of people no longer suffering from the illness to 553,937.
