Mexico's daily COVID-19 deaths up to 784

Mexican Deputy Health Secretary Hugo Lopez-Gatell unveiled on Saturday that the country's death toll from coronavirus rose to 47,472 as 784 fatalities were registered nationwide in the past 24 hours. The daily increase in COVID-19 deaths was higher compared to the previous two days.

The total number of infections stood at 434,193 as Mexico reported 9,556 new cases since yesterday's update, marking a record-high daily jump since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

A total of 284,847 Mexican residents have recovered from COVID-19 so far, an increase of 6,229 from Friday's figure.
