Michael death toll rises to 13

At least 13 people were killed in four states by Hurricane Michael, officials said. Virginia officials said that Michael killed five people in the state. The tropical storm killed four in Florida, one in Georgia and three in North Carolina, authorities said, adding they expect the number to rise.

Michael hit the Florida Panhandle as a Category 4 storm on Wednesday before weakening slightly and moving across Georgia, the Carolinas and Virginia towards the sea.

United States President Donald Trump said he will visit Florida and Georgia next week as those two states were hit the hardest by Michael. "People have no idea how hard Hurricane Michael has hit the great state of Georgia. I will be visiting both Florida and Georgia early next week. We are working very hard on every area and every state that was hit - we are with you!" Trump tweeted earlier.
