Microsoft buildings to open for vaccinated-only

Microsoft announced on Tuesday in an internal memo to staff that all company's facilities in the United States will require proof of full vaccination against the COVID-19 virus from personnel and guests alike. The tech giant has also postponed full office reopening to "no earlier than October 4".

"In September we'll require proof of vaccination for all employees, vendors and any guests entering Microsoft buildings in the US and we'll have an accommodation process in place for employees," the memo read.

The company cited statistics that 95% of Microsoft employees in the Puget Sound region have self-attested to being fully vaccinated. The company reiterated its confidence in the effectiveness and safety of the vaccines approved by CDC and WHO.
