Microsoft posts Q4 revenue at $38.03B, up 13% YoY

Microsoft Corp. reported on Wednesday its revenue in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2020 rose 13% year-over-year to stand at $38.03 billion. Total cost of revenue was up 19% to $12.34 billion. Operating income increased 8% to $13.41 billion, while net income dropped 15% to $11.20 billion. Diluted earnings per share were $1.46.

Per segment, Productivity and Business Processes revenue grew 6% to $11.8 billion, while Intelligent Cloud climbed 17% to $13.4 billion. More Personal Computing revenue was at $12.9 billion, an increase of 14%.

"The last five months have made it clear that tech intensity is the key to business resilience. Organizations that build their own digital capability will recover faster and emerge from this crisis stronger," chief executive Satya Nadella said.
