Microsoft's revenue jumps 12% to $33.7B in Q4

Microsoft Corporation said on Thursday its revenue in the fourth quarter of 2019 amounted to $33.7 billion, marking a 12% jump from the same period a year ago and topping estimates. The tech giant's GAAP diluted earnings per share surged 50% year on year to $1.71 and GAAP net income rose 49% to $13.2 billion.

For the full fiscal 2019, the company's revenue grew by 14% to $125.8 billion and GAAP EPS skyrocketed 137.5% to $5.06.

"It was a record fiscal year for Microsoft, a result of our deep partnerships with leading companies in every industry," CEO Satya Nadella stated.

Microsoft's shares rose by 1.22% in after-hours trading on better-than-expected earnings.
