Minneapolis wouldn't be if troops weren't deployed - Trump

United States President Donald Trump noted if he hadn't deployed the National Guard to Minneapolis to deal with the protesters in the city, "you wouldn’t even have a Minneapolis now."

"If I didn’t demand that National Guard Troops go into Minneapolis after watching how poorly the Liberal Democrat government was handling things, you wouldn’t even have a Minneapolis now. Once they were deployed, in force, all looting, burning and crime stopped DEAD," the president wrote.

Trump's comments come a day after a House committee voted against an amendment that would limit his authority under the 1807 Insurrection Act, which he threatened to invoke to deal with demonstrations regarding racial minority issues that have spread across the country.
