Minsk warns against UK's depleted uranium supply to Kiev
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko warned on Wednesday against Britain supplying depleted uranium to Ukraine, calling it "the most dangerous thing" if London went ahead with the plan.
Lukashenko also cautioned that Moscow's response to the supply of shells with low-enriched uranium to Kiev could end up being a "terrible lesson" for the whole world. "There is no need to start a trend in this war in terms of escalation. We need to move towards a a peaceful settlement," the Belarusian head of state stressed.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov underlined that such action by the United Kingdom would be a "step towards significant escalation."
