Mossad chief sees Israel-Saudi Arabia deal coming soon - report

Mossad director Yossi Cohen believes that Israel and Saudi Arabia could agree on the normalization of relations soon with more progress expected following the 2020 presidential election in the United States, The Jerusalem Post reported on Sunday after obtaining his private conversations with officials.

If US President Donald Trump gets re-elected on November 3, Mossad's head expects the peace deal between the two countries to be announced immediately after the election, the report said.

On the other hand, if Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden wins the Oval Office, Saudi Arabia will reportedly remain determined to seal the deal but there will be no clear timeline for the official announcement.
