Most Asian stocks mixed after PMI data

Equities on the Asian markets traded mixed on Wednesday after Japan released its manufacturing PMI figure that signaled an expansion in the country's private sector activity, as China's general manufacturing PMI data for the same month slipped into contractionary territory for the second time this year.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite traded flat at 4:08 am CET, as the Shenzhen Composite decreased by 0.33%. A minute later, the Australian S&P 200 fell 0.28%.

At 4:11 am CET, South Korea's Kospi went up by 1.61%, with Hong Kong's Hang Seng adding 1.46% a minute later. The dollar traded 0.32% higher against the yen, going for ¥113.4045 at 4:13 am CET and Japan's Nikkei 225 was up by 0.81% at 03:35 am CET.
