Most Asian stocks rise after PMI data

Most equities on the Asian markets traded higher on Wednesday after China's PMI data showed the country's service economy topped estimates and marked an overall growth in the sector in July. In Japan, the Jibun Bank Services Business PMI surprised expectations although the figure remained below the neutral 50, signaling a further contraction in business activity.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite went up by 0.71% at 4:31 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite rising by 1.08% a minute later.

Japan's Nikkei 225, however, lost 0.14% at 4:30 am CET, with the Australian S&P 200 inching 0.22% higher a minute later. At 4:33 am CET, South Korea's Kospi added 0.95%. The dollar traded 0.01% lower against the yen, going for ¥109.0440 at 4:34 am CET, as Hong Kong's Hang Seng increased by 1.22%.
