N. Korea to seek to be ready for full war posture if needed
North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un remarked that his country's military should strive to improve and be prepared to enter the state of full war readiness at any time, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing Pyongyang's state media.
Speaking at the meeting of the Workers' Party of Korea's (WPK) Central Military Commission, Kim talked about what he singled out as the most critical issues concerning the military in 2023. He spoke about taking measures to expand the training and strengthen military work.
The news came shortly after the United States Department of State said it is watching closely what North Korea is doing army-wise and will pay much attention to that country's forthcoming military parade.
