N. Korean paper accuses South of provocations

The Rodong Sinmun, controlled by the government in Pyongyang, renewed on Sunday its criticism against South Korea, citing its recent military drills with the United States and "the introduction of high-tech weapons." The newspaper said the neighboring state has been "destroying peace and stability" and claimed it is responsible for a deterioration in relations.

The accusation of provocations carried by the Korean Central News Agency marks a return to hostile propaganda, which has eased this month. North Korea is said to be preparing to resume negotiations with the US about the possibility of denuclearization.

Today's article follows warnings from South Korea's government regarding the North's several missile tests in the past months.
