NASA: Boeing Starliner mission to follow Axiom's

United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) human spaceflight operational programs leader Kathy Lueders announced on Thursday that the first crewed mission of The Boeing Company's Starliner, the Boeing Crew Flight Test, will be carried out after Axiom Space Inc.'s private crew mission called Axiom Mission 2 (Ax-2).

NASA made the schedule change to keep International Space Station (ISS) operations "optimized," Lueders explained in a Twitter post. "Target launch dates for Ax-2, still planned in early May, and Starliner will be shared soon. We'll plan a media update after we have the space station schedule set. As always, we will fly when we are ready," she pointed out.

After facing valve problems in August 2021, the Boeing CST-100 Starliner's second uncrewed orbital test flight was finally successful in May 2022 and the spacecraft docked with the ISS.
