NATO-led KFOR boosts its presence in N. Kosovo

NATO-led Kosovo Force announced on Tuesday that it has increased its presence in four northern municipalities in Kosovo to prevent further escalation.

Stressing that the organization prevented "threats to the lives of Kosovo Serbs and Kosovo Albanians," KFOR underscored that "both parties need to take full responsibility for what happened... rather than hide behind false narratives."

According to the statement, the peacekeepers are reacting to an attack by "increasingly aggressive crowds" after newly elected local officials attempted to enter the municipal buildings. KFOR shared that the number of its wounded soldiers following yesterday's clashes in Zvecan climbed to 30.
