Stockholm, Sweden-Intentia International AB (publ) (XSSE; INT B) reports that 2003 was yet another year in which the company recorded a number of strategic wins in the fashion industry. Over the years, Intentia has earned a reputation for being the enterprise application vendor with the most success among fashion and apparel-related companies, and 2003 was no exception with new business contracts being signed with well-recognized, respected companies such as Mizuno, PUMA, The Hockey Company, Ice Fashion, Ace Style and Umbro. These wins are evidence of Intentia's premier position in the fashion industry. In late December, two additional major wins were posted: Acushnet Company and Red Wing Shoe Company.

Red Wing Shoe Company in Minnesota manufactures products in the US,
as well as in other countries, and markets globally through diverse
channels. It will implement Intentia's Movex Fashion Java version at
its corporate headquarters, leather tanning and manufacturing
factories, and six warehouses worldwide. The system will ultimately
serve over 250 users.

According to Ann Florine, Red Wing Shoe Company's ERP project
manager, the company sought an extended enterprise system that would
provide its more than 2,000 employees with ready access to timely,
accurate information to better serve customer needs, as well as a
system that would enable the company to meet evolving market
opportunities. Red Wing Shoe Company plans to ultimately implement
the entire Movex suite, including Intentia's Corporate Portal, Movex
Workplace, and e-business, advanced production planning, supply chain
planning and execution, and business performance warehouse

"We selected Movex Fashion because it has the functionality to meet
the unique needs of our business and processes," Florine says. "In
addition, it gives us a fully integrated system, complete with APIs
to provide 'hooks' between Movex and external applications. These
were key decision factors, as was Intentia's Implex implementation
methodology, which provides us with a clear framework to keep the
project focused and results oriented."

She continues, "With Movex, we will be able to provide our customers
with products and information when and how they want to receive them.
At the same time, we expect to reduce or eliminate redundancies in
processes and systems, shorten cycle times, and be able to access and
analyze information to support decision making."

The other notable win in December 2003 was Acushnet Company, which is
a wholly owned subsidiary of Fortune Brands (NYSE: FO) and is the
world's largest golf manufacturer, generating more than USD 1.1
billion in revenues in 2003. With over 4,800 employees, Acushnet
supports global sales, manufacturing and distribution operations in
more than 20 countries. Its products include golf balls, clubs,
shoes, gloves and accessories sold worldwide under the brand names
Titleist, Cobra, and FootJoy.

According to Peg Nicholson, Acushnet senior vice president and CIO,
the company plans to implement the Java-based system initially at
Acushnet Canada for some 60 users. However, the agreement could
ultimately include up to 1,200 global users.

"In Canada, Movex will replace a myriad of information systems and
enable us to streamline many of our business processes," Nicholson
states. "Our business there is growing nicely and we believe an
integrated solution will save time and money by increasing efficiency
and productivity without adding resources. Movex Fashion is
particularly attractive because of its deep fashion industry
functionality and flexible style/color/size product matrix. And,
since Acushnet is a large global company, it is critical that we
partner with a respected vendor such as Intentia, which has a
physical presence in all the countries in which we operate."

The president and CEO of Intentia in the Americas, Linus Parker,
comments, "We welcome the Red Wing Shoe Company and Acushnet, as well
as all the other fashion-related customers we added to our customer
list in 2003, into Intentia's global community of satisfied fashion
and footwear clients. We are absolutely committed to doing our best
to contribute to their future success. Fashion and apparel companies
today face daunting challenges posed by global competition, trade
regulations, and complex supply chains and logistics, making the need
for real-time collaboration more crucial than ever. Intentia's Movex
Fashion solution can help companies overcome these challenges to
reduce costs and gain the visibility, agility and control needed to
compete successfully on a global basis."

World-leading industry analyst firm Gartner Inc. gives its view on
the future challenges for the fashion industry.
Yvonne Genovese of Gartner writes in March 2004, "Companies in the
apparel industry have been slow to move into the ERP arena. However,
in a quest to become more agile and responsive to shifts in consumer
demand, these companies are now wanting to harness new technology to
collaborate effectively with their supply chain partners and to gain
greater visibility of their global order network and inventory
situation. They must therefore look for software suppliers that can
support their global operations and can provide them with a strong
integrated solution that meets the specific needs of the industry,
for example the ability to handle multiple attributes such as color
and size."
