Jaakko Pöyry Group awarded EUR 1.8 million switchgear construction assignment in Austria

Verbundplan (Austria) GmbH, which is part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group's
Energy business group, has been awarded engineering, erection and
delivery contracts by Verbund Austrian Power Grid AG for the
Bisamberg substation near Vienna. Verbundplan's share of the project
amounts to EUR 1.8 million, and the implementation time will be 15
months, until end of 2005.

The contract comprises detail design, erection of all components and
delivery of high voltage material including steel structures of the
380 kV outdoor switchgear connecting the grids of Wienstrom and
Verbund. This project is an essential step of transmission network
enlargement in the vicinity of Vienna.

Verbundplan was recently acquired by Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj and is
Austria's leading engineering and consulting company in the energy,
infrastructure and environmental sector. The Energy business group,
operating under the brand name Electrowatt-Ekono, had net sales of
