Ad-hoc announcement processed and transmitted by Hugin ASA. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the fiscal year 2004, the mobilcom group produced the best
operating result in the company's history, with both of its business
segments beating their original growth target for 2004. This is
documented by the annual financial statements for the fiscal year
2004 now prepared by the executive board, which, following their
approval by the supervisory board, will be disclosed at the balance
sheet press conference on 8 March. mobilcom reports a further
increase in turnover to € 1,897.3 m, a year-on-year increase
of 3.2 per cent (€1,837.6m). With an EBITDA of
€166.6m (2003: € 103.6m) and an EBIT of €
94.3m (2003: € 22.3m), the mobilcom group significantly
outperformed its operating result of the previous year.
At € 1,428.5m, turnover for the fiscal year 2004 was 5.3 per
cent up on the previous year's figure of € 1,356.8m. The
EBITDA of € 40.6m was almost three times that of 2003
(€ 14.5m) thanks to the excellent cost position. The EBIT
rose by € 28.5m to € 9.2m after mobilcom had
generated a negative result in the previous year due to restructuring
expenses incurred in the mobile telephony service provider segment
(€ -19.3m). Moreover, the mobile telephony service provider
reported some 410,000 more customers at the end of the fiscal year
than at the end of 2003. The number of customers therefore rose to
4.56 million.
The business segment Fixed Line/Internet strengthened its positive
development as the leading alternative telecommunications provider in
the fiscal year 2004. With year-on-year turnover of € 468.8
m slightly down from € 480.8m in 2003, the segment boosted
the operating result (EBITDA) of € 126.0 m by over 40 per
cent (2003: € 89.1m). The EBIT was more than doubled to
total € 85.0m (2003: € 41.6m).

*The adjustment undertaken in the previous year, which was reported
in 2004, applies to revenues realized from the sale of the UMTS
infrastructure in the amount of €2.0 million. This business
unit was closed at the conclusion of Fiscal Year 2003. The profit
from the sale of 3.75 million freenet shares (€145.0
million), the reversal of a provision for the execution of the
freeze-down plan (€135.4 million) and the reimbursement of
interest payments for UMTS loans by France Télécom S.A.
(€84.7 million) were also included in the accounts. This
income is balanced by the corresponding expenses (€220.1
million) from the release of a reimbursement claim against France
Télécom in the amount of the reversed provision (€135.4
million) and interest payments for UMTS loans (€84.7
