Jaakko Pöyry Group awarded project management assignment in Austria

Verbundplan GmbH, which is part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group's Energy
business group, has been awarded project management contracts by
Wiener Kommunal Umweltschutzprojektsges.m.b.H. (WKU), the municipal
environment protection company of Vienna, Austria. The assignment
relates to the incineration plant Pfaffenau and Biogas Vienna
projects at the environmental centre Simmering. The value of
Verbundplan's share of the projects amounts to EUR 1.1 million. The
implementation extends to mid 2008.

The contracts comprise the processing of project management,
organisation, time scheduling, cost and site supervision. WKU, which
is a subsidiary of the City of Vienna, will within the next few years
implement the third Viennese incineration plant having an annual
capacity of 250 000 tonnes residual waste. The thermal treatment of
the residual waste takes place in a two-line grate firing,
respectively flow-operated flue gas purification plant. Furthermore,
a biogas plant is being planned.
