Neuburg/Danube (pta008/13.11.2014/07:30) - Neuburg/Danube, November 13, 2014 VIB Vermögen, a company specialising in commercial real estate portfolio management, has strengthened its commercial real estate portfolio with the acquisition of a retail property located in the Bavarian district of Poing (Munich region). BayWa Bau- und Gartenmärkte GmbH & Co. KG will operate this site as a DIY superstore and garden market on a 15-year rental contract. "With this purchase, we are underscoring the great importance of the Southern German retail sector in particular within our portfolio. The comparatively high level of purchasing power in the greater metropolitan region of Munich strengthens tenants' creditworthiness, and consequently also the extent to which our real estate portfolio retains its value," is how this latest purchase was commented upon by Martin Pfandzelter, Managing Board member with responsibility for the real estate area at VIB Vermögen.

The property will be extended during the current 2014 year, and comprises a rentable total space of around 11,100 sqm. Situated favourably in relation to transportation connections, it will generate an approximately 7.1 % rental return on a EUR 15.5 million investment volume. "As with all of the properties that we either buy or develop ourselves, we assess their attractiveness stringently according to our own investment criteria. Due to its very attractive location within Munich's affluent commuter belt area and its long-term rental agreement, this retail property fits ideally into our value-focused portfolio," notes Martin Pfandzelter.

VIB Vermögen underscores with this acquisition the company's strategy of controlled and profitable growth. This transaction is part of an investment pipeline which is currently being reviewed and processed by VIB.
