Polish consumer prices inch up 0.1% in May

Poland's Consumer Prices Index (CPI) for all goods and services stood at 100.1 point in May, as prices on the average increased by 0.1% in one month, according to data provided by the Central Statistics Office of Poland (GUS) on Monday. For comparison, CPI was 100.3 in April, when prices increased by 0.3%. Back in May 2015, the CPI stood at 100.0 with unchanged prices.

The Polish WGI index was down 0.22% at 1,778 points at 2:01 p.m. CET. CCC was the best performer and banks were leading overall in gains in the bank-laden index. Alior Bank, Orange Polska and Eurocash were biggest decliners.

The Polish zloty was up 0.34% against the euro at 2:20 p.m. CET.
