Iran calls Gazprom, Shell and others to invest in oil and gas

Iran announced a list of 29 companies from at least 14 countries on Monday that have been deemed as “qualified to invest in the exploration and production of oil and gas in the country.

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) is set to open a number of tenders for investments in oil and gas projects, Shana reported.

Italy’s Eni, Russian Gazprom and Lukoil, Danish Maersk, Dutch Shell and France’s Total are all on the list.

Other listed companies are: CEPSA Spain, CNOOC International Limited, CNPC, CNPW, DNO, Inpex Corporation, Itochu, Japan Petroleum Exploration, Korea Gas Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsui, OMV, ONGC Videsh Limited, Perenco Holding, Pertamina, Petronas, PGNiG, Plus Petrol, Posco Daewoo, PTTEP, Schlumberger, Sinopec International and Wintershall.
