Treasuries mostly flat as Fedspeak effect wanes

United States government bonds were almost unchanged on Thursday, as investors seem to have shrugged off recent comments from various officials at the Federal Reserve.

The yield on 10-year Treasuries edged up 1.8 basis points to 2.3783% at 11:23 am CET, while the yield on more policy-sensitive two-year bonds remained flat at 1.2698%. The yield on 30-year debt was 1.6 basis points softer at 2.984% at the same time.

Across the Atlantic, the yield on 10-year German Bunds, a benchmark for the euro area, declined 1.6 basis points to 0.328%, while the yield on British gilts of the same maturity eased 2.9 basis points to 1.121%.
