Treasuries trade mixed after Fed minutes

United States government bonds were mixed on Wednesday after minutes from the Federal Reserve's meeting in March revealed rate-setters expect to unwind the bank's balance sheet later this year.

The yield on 10-year Treasuries eased 0.36 basis points to 2.3569% at 8:54 pm CET, while the yield on two-year bonds, which are more sensitive to perceived changes in policy, declined 0.6 basis points to 1.246%. The yield on 30-year bonds increased 1.03 basis points to 3.0102% at the same time.

Meanwhile, in Europe, the yield on 10-year German Bunds rose 0.1 basis points to 0.258%, while the yield on British gilts of the same maturity climbed 2.5 basis points to 1.092%. Bond yields move in the opposite direction relative to prices.
