Deutsche Telekom reports net revenue rise of 6% in Q2

German telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom reported on Thursday its net revenue for the second quarter of 2017 stood at €18.9 billion, increasing 6% year on year. The company said its adjusted net income with interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization, EBITDA, improved 8.9% to €5.9 billion in the second three months of the fiscal year compared to the same period a year ago.

Meanwhile, Deutsche Telekom stated its net profit grew 40.7% to stand at €874 million while the adjusted net profit added 13.8% to €1.2 billion. The firm said it realized a strong customer growth across Europe, in Germany, and in the United States with T-Mobile US leading as the main advancer. 

"Our record investments are paying off: Growing numbers of customers are choosing our networks and products. And revenue and earnings are lifting Page 2 of 12 substantially on the back of this strong customer growth. That is especially true of our booming U.S. business, but the trend is also positive in Germany and our European companies," said the company's CFO Thomas Dannenfeldt.
