Treasuries decline on solid economic data

United States government bonds were lower on Monday following the release of strong economic data, including reports on manufacturing activity and construction spending.

The yield on 10-year Treasuries increased 0.18 basis points to 2.3354% at 7:44 pm CET, while the yield on two-year bonds rose 0.41 basis points to 1.4868%. The yield on 30-year debt grew 0.56 basis points to 2.8657% at the same time.

Across the Atlantic, the yield on 10-year German Bunds fell 1.3 basis points to 0.451%, whereas the yield on 10-year British gilts dropped 3.7 basis points to 1.328%. Bond yields move in the opposite direction relative to prices.
