Dow, S&P hit record close 3rd day in row

United States stock markets settled with gains on Tuesday as the Dow Jones and the S&P 500 closed at record highs. Investors closely monitored the Federal Reserve as its two-day meeting started today.

The Dow Jones settled 0.49% in the green boosted by Boeing and Verizon. The airplane manufacturer rose 2.65% after its board of directors announced yesterday the quarterly dividend will be increased 20% to $1.71 per share.

The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.16% as NetEase led the losses. On the other hand, Tesla jumped 3.68% following reports that PepsiCo reserved a fleet of 100 Tesla Semi trucks.

The S&P 500 advanced 0.15% with Macerich Company being the best performer. The real estate investment trust company soared over 5%

The euro traded flat against the dollar, buying 1.1748 at 10:23 pm CET. At the same time, the greenback was flat against the yen, changing hands for 113.506.
