Bitcoin declines below $10,000

Bitcoin, world's most popular cryptocurrency, dropped below $10,000 on Tuesday, reaching a low of $9,940. The latest correction comes following reports that China is cracking down on miners, as well as that 80% of all Bitcoins have already been mined, with the total amount of the currency in circulation currently at around 16.8 million. Meanwhile, South Korean authorities are sending mixed signals about a possible digital currency ban.

Bitcoin was down 19.51% against the dollar and sold for 10,930 at 11:52 pm CET. Bitcoin Cash decreased 28.676% to go for $1,699 at the same time. Ethereum was 23.09% in the red to sell for $985 at 11:56 pm CET, while Litecoin declined 24.27% at $175 at the same time.
