Macron says has 'proof' Assad regime behind chemical attack

France's President Emanuel Macron stated that there is proof of Bashar al-Assad's regime using chemical weapons in the city of Douma, according to AFP. The president added that his country's response will come at a "time of our choosing."

United States President Donald Trump said moments earlier that he "never said when an attack on Syria would take place," adding that the move could happen soon or "not so soon at all."

Yesterday, Trump tweeted that US missiles "will be coming" to Syria in response to the alleged chemical attack in Douma over the weekend. Russia responded, stating missiles should target "terrorists" and not "legitimate government."
