Microsoft reports EPS at $0.95 in Q3, up 36% YoY

Microsoft Corporation reported on Thursday earnings per share for its fiscal third quarter stood at $0.95, increasing 36% compared to the same period of last year. American tech giant said revenue stood at $26.8 billion, rising 16% year-over-year.

The company said net income was $7.4 billion, climbing 35% compared to the same fiscal period of last year. Operating income was reported at $8.3 billion, marking a 23% rise compared to the same fiscal quarter of 2017.

"Our results this quarter reflect the trust people and organizations are placing in the Microsoft Cloud,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said, adding: "We are innovating across key growth categories of infrastructure, AI, productivity, and business applications to deliver differentiated value to customers."

In aftermarket trading, Microsoft shares dropped almost 2%.
