Trump not going with high expectations to Helsinki

"Nothing bad" will happen after the summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, United States President Donald Trump told CBS News. In an excerpt aired on Sunday from an interview, he asserted "maybe some good will come out" from tomorrow's meeting in Helsinki. "I go in with low expectations. I'm not going with high expectations," Trump said.

He said he would think about demanding the 12 indicted Russian intelligence officers to be extradited to the US on charges of hacking into servers of the Democratic National Committee before the 2016 presidential election. The president went on to repeat the incident occurred during the reign of his predecessor Barack Obama. He said intruders tried to penetrate the Republican National Committee as well but that it had better defenses.

"I think it's a good thing to meet. I do believe in meetings. I believe that having a meeting with Chairman Kim was a good thing. I think having meetings with the president of China was a very good thing. I believe it's really good. So having meetings with Russia, China, North Korea, I believe in it," Trump stated.
