Juncker, Trump to hold tariff talks on July 25

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will travel to the United States next week to discuss trade issues with US President Donald Trump, the White House said on Tuesday. The two will meet on July 25 and talk about "a wide range of priorities, including foreign and security policy, counterterrorism, energy security and economic growth," Trump's press office stated.

During his recent trip to Europe, the US president called the European Union a "foe" in trade and repeated it has "really taken advantage" of his country in regards to trade deals. Meanwhile, the EU and Japan signed the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) earlier on Tuesday, dubbed "the largest bilateral trade deal ever" by European Council President Donald Tusk.
