Trump ready to put tariffs on all Chinese imports

United States President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he is ready to impose tariffs on all $505 billion worth of Chinese imports. Trump told CNBC that the US economy is doing "great" and is "maybe at its best ever." He added that the Chinese currency is getting worse and that it has been dropping steeply against the dollar.

So far, Washington imposed tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese imports, to which China responded with retaliatory measures. Additionally, the US recently prepared a list of $200 billion worth of Chinese goods to be subjected to tariffs, "as a result of China's retaliation," Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer pointed out.

Trump noted that, thanks to his policies, approximately 4 million jobs will be created for trained and skilled workers.
