Trump promises Canada trade deal will come

United States President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the trade deal with Canada may be possible by Friday or "within a period of time," but expressed certainty that it will be secured. Previously, the US made it clear it could move forward with a bilateral deal with Mexico if the administration in Ottawa doesn't get on board by the end of the week in talks about the overhaul of the 1994 agreement.

In an interview with Bloomberg news, the president also added that Europe's offer for no tariffs for the auto industry is "not good enough."

Earlier today, EU's Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said that "the European Union is ready to bring down to zero tariffs on all industrial goods from the United States including cars if Washington agrees to do the same."
