Tech sector leads losses amid selloff, Nasdaq sinks 3%

Nasdaq 100 fell 3% or over 221 points at 8:45 pm CET with tech stocks leading the losses during Wednesday's trading session. Fastenal Company lost 6.51% at 8:50 pm CET as the worst trading stock on the Nasdaq. Additionally, Netflix Inc. plunged 6.32% at the same time. Meanwhile, the other so-called FAANG tech stocks also traded with significant losses. Facebook Inc. fell 2.38% at 8:52 pm CET and Apple Inc. was down 2.66% at the same time. Inc. was 4.05% in the red at 8:53 pm CET, while Alphabet Inc, Google's mother company, lost 2.72% at the same time.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 1.99% at 8:54 pm CET with Nike Inc. as the worst trading stock falling 5.53%. The S&P 500 fell 2.06% at 8:54 pm CET led by Tiffany & Co. losses of 9.08%. Twitter Inc. also traded with sharp losses, decreasing 6.76% at 8:56 pm CET. The euro gained 0.31% against the dollar to change hands for 1.1526 at 8:57 pm CET.
