Dow falls over 200 points, P&G down over 2%

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 200 points during the session on Monday as investors monitor corporate earnings and the geopolitical situation. Relations with between the United States and Saudi Arabia are in focus as the Gulf kingdom faces intense scrutiny over its involvement in the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The blue-chip index fell just over 200 points at 6:23 pm CET, led lower by Procter & Gamble sliding over 2% as the worst performer. The consumer goods company reported fiscal first-quarter earnings last week, stating earnings per share increased 15% year over year to $1.22.

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 dipped 0.50% at 6:21 pm CET, while the Nasdaq 100 was 0.40% in the green.
