Trump, Putin to discuss summit date in Paris

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Tuesday that United States President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will discuss the date of the full-length summit during their short meeting in Paris on November 11, TASS reported.

According to the official, both heads of state agreed that having a full-format meeting would be "difficult" in Paris but that they will "somehow cross over and agree on the next time they can meet to have a thorough talk." There was no comment on the recent report from the Russian media that the summit between Trump and Putin was canceled in Paris at the suggestion of the French President Emmanuel Macron.

The two world leaders first held talks in Helsinki on July 20. Meanwhile, both Trump and Putin are expected to attend the G20 summit set to start on November 30.
