Report: Vote of no-confidence in PM May to be triggered

The 48-letter threshold to trigger a no-confidence vote in British Prime Minister Theresa May has been reached, Sky News reporter Beth Rigby said on Tuesday citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

"But my ERG sources pretty confident now that 48 trigger been breached. Of course Sir Graham won’t announce while PM out of country - and we’ve been here before," she tweeted. A leadership challenge is triggered in the event 48 Tories submit letters to the chairman of the party’s so-called 1922 committee, Graham Brady.

The alleged move to challenge May's leadership comes after her decision to postpone the parliamentary vote on her Brexit deal with Brussels.
