UK Parliament rejects May's Brexit deal

The United Kingdom Parliament rejected Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit withdrawal agreement on Tuesday with 432 members of Parliament opposing the deal and 202 voting in favor.

Minutes earlier, UK lawmakers overwhelmingly rejected an amendment put forward by Tory MP John Baron which proposed giving Britain the right to unilaterally end the Irish backstop with a 600 to 24 vote.

Earlier, May insisted that even if her Brexit deal was rejected, the European Union would not offer a different agreement and Britain would be left with the same choices they have now: accept her deal, leave the UE without any deal or remain in the bloc.
