Europe trades flat to higher in premarket

European markets traded flat to higher during the premarket trade on Tuesday as the earnings season continued with HSBC and BHP Billiton already reporting their results before the open. Investors were also focused on a string of economic data due for release after the bell, including British unemployment figures, the EU's construction output and the German economic sentiment. Meanwhile, market watchers continued to closely follow the most recent Brexit developments.

The German DAX gained 0.04% and in France, the CAC 40 increased 0.09%. In London, the FTSE 100 lost 0.01%.

The euro lost 0.18% against the US dollar to go for 1.1294 at 7:51 am CET while it added 0.04% against the British pound to sell for 0.8755 at the same time.
