Wall Street trades with losses premarket

United States markets fell during premarket trading on Tuesday after President Donald Trump confirmed the next round of trade talks with China will start later today in Washington. Trump hailed the progress made during the previous rounds of negotiations, although a trade deal still has not been reached. Meanwhile, corporate earnings kept coming in, with HSBC and BHP reporting earlier today, while the US retail giant Walmart is set to release its earnings before the opening bell.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.27%, while the Nasdaq 100 decreased 0.22% during premarket trading. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 was 0.24% below the flat line premarket. The euro was 0.28% lower compared to the dollar, selling for 1.1283 at 6:29 am ET.
