May calls off Barclay, Cox Brussels trip

The British negotiators will not return to Brussels today as United Kingdom's Prime Minister Theresa May (pictured) called off the planned trip ahead of her Brexit speech, in which she will supposedly call on the European Union to accept the proposed changes to the Irish backstop.

Attorney General Geoffrey Cox and the Brexit Secretary Steve Barclay were supposed to return to Belgium after reworking the proposals that were previously rejected by the EU's lead negotiator Michel Barnier on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, International Trade Secretary Liam Fox warned the lack of Parliament support for May's withdrawal proposal may stop the government from "delivering Brexit at all."
