Former Snap CFO to head Ford's finances

Ford Motor Co. announced on Thursday it will hire former chief financial officer of Snap Inc. to replace the company's outgoing CFO as a part of global leadership changes.

Tim Stone, who served 20 years in Amazon Inc. and headed Snap's finances until January 2019, will replace automaker's veteran Bob Shanks, who is set to retire at the end of the year. Stone will join the company on April 15 and will take over as the CFO on June 1.

Further changes include International Markets Group president Peter Fleet's retirement, as he is to be replaced by Mark Ovenden on April 1, and the appointment of Stuart Rowley, current COO of the automakers North America unit, as the new president of Ford of Europe.
