Japan's consumer prices up 0.2% in February YoY

The consumer price index in Japan rose 0.2% in February on a yearly basis before seasonal adjustment, according to a release by the country's Statistics Bureau. The figure was unchanged compared to the previous month on a seasonally adjusted basis.

The prices of all items without fresh food increased by 0.7% annually in February, or 0.1% compared to January. The prices of all items without fresh food and energy added 0.4% in February year-on-year or 0.1% compared to the month before. Goods prices fell 0.1% both monthly and annually, while prices of services rose 0.4% in February on a yearly basis, and 0.1% month-on-month.
