Rees-Mogg to back May's Brexit deal if DUP does - report

Conservative MP and chairman of the Brexiter European Research Group (ERG), Jacob Rees-Mogg is ready to back Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit deal if the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) voices its support for the agreement, BuzzFeed's senior political correspondent reported on Monday citing a source close to the lawmaker.

The alleged reason behind Rees-Mogg conditional support for May's deal is that he believes Brexit is in danger and that the agreement is the least bad option.

Earlier today, May conceded that she still lacks sufficient support to stage a third meaningful vote on her withdrawal agreement, especially since the DUP reportedly signaled it won't support the deal. Meanwhile, MPs will vote on three Brexit amendments later today, including the Letwin one which would grant them more control over the withdrawal negotiations.
