Europe trades in the green in premarket, data in focus

European stocks traded in the green on Tuesday as investors focused on a string of economic data due for release later today. Meanwhile, the earnings season was in full swing with Rio Tinto already reporting its corporate results in the early morning hours while BlackRock, Bank of America and Johnson&Johnson are among those set to release their quarterly reports before the bell on Wall Street. Earlier today, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas remarked on the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union, stressing that Britain should not be granted a Brexit delay past October.

In Germany, the DAX rose 0.27%, the French CAC 40 added 0.14% while London's FTSE 100 increased 0.19% at 7:53 am CET.

The euro was flat against the US dollar, down 0.01% to trade for 1.1302 at 7:55 am CET.
