Europe mostly flat in premarket, earnings in focus

European equities were mostly subdued in premarket trading on Tuesday following the Easter break. Investors geared up for earnings season, with social media giants Twitter, Snap and Facebook all set to report results this week. Meanwhile, Asian markets were mixed as the Chinese government reportedly mulls focusing on structural reform rather than fiscal stimulus.

The DAX and the FTSE 100 were flat, while the CAC 40 declined 0.17% just before the start of the session.

The euro lost 0.10% against the dollar at 8:54 am CET, buying 1.1254, as the pound was flat versus the greenback at 8:55 am CET, going for 1.2983.
