US shares flat in premarket ahead of earnings

Shares on Wall Street hovered above the flatline in premarket trade on Tuesday as investors await a string of corporate earnings. Twitter, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, United Technologies, Verizon, and Lockheed Martin are all set to post results before the start of the session, while Snap will report earnings after the closing bell.

Oil prices continued to climb on the back of Washington's decision to end waivers for countries still importing Iranian oil. On the data front, new home sales figures will be released.

The three major stock market indices in the United States were flat at 4:20 am ET. Meanwhile, the euro was down by 0.04% against the dollar at $1.1253.
